Step-by-step guide for applicants

An applicant must complete the following steps for admission:

Pass the UNT (Unified National Testing)*
  • General minimum score — not lower than 50 points
  • Pedagogical specialties — not lower than 75 points
  • Creative specialties — instead of профильный subjects, creative exams are taken at the university
*Minimum UNT thresholds (may change annually)
Choose an educational program (EP)
The applicant must determine in advance:
  • The field of study (humanities, technical, pedagogical, etc.)
  • The профильные subjects for the UNT
Submit an application to participate in the grant competition (optional)
Submitted through the gov.kz website or at a Public Service Center (PSC) after receiving UNT results.

  • UNT certificate (electronic version)
  • Secondary school certificate with transcript
  • ID card
  • Grant application (electronic form)
  • Preferential rights (if applicable): if applying under a quota — specify which one; medals, volunteer hours, etc.
Pass creative or additional entrance examinations (if required)
Applies to the group of educational programs in Design.
The schedule for creative examinations should be уточнено with the admissions office.
Submit documents to the university (for a grant or fee-based study)
Required documents:
  • ID card (copy + original)
  • Secondary school certificate with transcript (original)
  • UNT certificate (electronic version)
  • 3×4 photos — 6 copies
  • Medical certificate (Form 075-U)
  • Fluorography certificate
  • Military registration document (for male applicants)

Additionally required (if applicable):
  • Portfolio (for creative specialties)
  • Medical examination clearance (for sports programs)
  • Study agreement/contract (for fee-based admission)
Conclude a study agreement (fee-based or grant)
After enrollment, the applicant:
  • Signs the agreement
  • Completes the payment (if admitted to a fee-based program)
  • Receives a student ID card and access to the university system
